
Women's Golf in Second After Opening Round in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - The College of Charleston women's golf team sits in second place after day one of the UCF Challenge in Orlando. The Cougars posted a 282 team total (--6) and are three strokes behind leader North Carolina.
"The team played really well today," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "Having three people under par always makes for a great day"
Adrian Anderson (-4) sits in T3 having recorded seven birdies on the day. Her 68 round was the lowest of her Cougar career. Emma Schimpf (-1) and Emily Dunlap (-1) in T14.
"Congrats to Adrian. She has worked so hard on her swing this year and it was great to see it pay off today."
Charleston's 17 birdies were the third most recorded by a program in the opening round.
Round two was initially set to begin on Monday due to weather but has been moved to a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
