
Men's Basketball Welcomes Hofstra for Senior Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team will celebrate Senior Day presented by Liberty Senior Living on Saturday, March 2 when Hofstra comes to TD Arena. Action is set for 2:00 p.m. Charleston will honor seniors Bryce Butler and Frankie Policelli along with student managers Jonah Wexler and Kaitlyn Hubany prior to the start of Saturday's contest.

STORYLINES
- The Cougars secured their first outright CAA regular season title and locked up the No. 1 seed entering the CAA Championship on Thursday with a 96-73 victory over Campbell.
- Reyne Smith broke his own single-game three pointer record with 10 makes on 15 attempts for a career-high 32 points. Smith is also tied for the most three-pointers made in an NCAA game this season. His 94 makes this season are the fifth most in a single season in school history. Five makes on Saturday would bump him up to third all-time.
- Charleston has been on fire from three lately, making 10+ in six of their last eight including back-to-back 15 three performances.
- The Cougars and the Pride met on January 4 in Hempstead to open the CAA Slate with a rematch of last season's regular season co-champions. Charleston won the opening match-up, 73-61. Butler led the Cougars with 18 points going 7-10 from the field followed by Ante Brzovic (13), Policelli (11) and Smith (10) all in double-figures.
- Charleston currently ranks eighth in the nation in bench points per game (31.73), third in three-point attempts per game (31.0) and eighth in threes made per game (10.5). CJ Fulton continues to lead the nation in assist/turnover ratio (4.77).
- Hofstra moved to 19-11 overall and 12-5 in CAA play with a 69-58 win over UNCW on Thursday. Darlinstone Dubar poured in a game-high 28 points and added eight rebounds, while Jaquan Carlos tallied 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists, and Tyler Thomas chipped in with 13 points. The Pride has won four straight, eight of its last nine, and 11 of its last 13 games.
- Hofstra is 10-9 all-time against Charleston in a series that began during the 2013-14 season. The Pride has won four of the last six and six of the last nine meetings between the teams.
