Cougars Make Record Book Moves at Buccaneer Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Four Cougars moved into the top five in school history in their respective events at the Buccaneer Invitational on Friday at Charleston Southern.
Andie Harding entered the record book in the 800 with a fourth-place time of 2:13.34, and Cayden Crismon, Kaitlynn Bailey and Madison Jent moved up with PRs.
Crismon won the 3000 and climbed from eighth to fourth with a time of 10:03.65 while Bailey made a surge from seventh to fourth in the 200 with a mark of 25.06. Jent cleared 3.86m (12'8") in the pole vault to rise three spots to third.
Jent finished second behind Luzy Lieger who had a top jump of 3.97m (13'0 ¼"). Savannah Stoutt won the 2000 steeplechase (7:07.72), and second-place finishes were turned in by Bailey in the 100 (11.89) and Rhian Purves in the 1500 (4:29.46).
The Cougars compete at the Weems Baskin Relays next Friday and Saturday in Columbia.
