Cougars Compete in Myrtle Beach

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will stay in state and play the 2024 General Hackler Championship at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
The Cougars are coming off a T7 (+27) finish in the Wake Forest Invitational in early March. Max Dupree (+3) finished T6 against a field that featured three top 25 teams. Dupree was able to climb 11 spots during the second round and three more during the final round. Dupree's performance earned him the title of CAA Golfer of the Week for the second time this spring.
This year will be the first appearance for the Cougars at the General Hackler Collegiate Championship. This championship, hosted by Coastal Carolina, has been played annually since 2002 and moved to the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2015. The individual medalist will earn a spot in the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, a dual-field PGA Tour event, in early May.
