
Cougars Travel to USC Upstate for WNIT

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team will face USC Upstate in the first round of the WNIT on Thursday, March 21 inside G.B. Hodge Center. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
Charleston finished the regular season 2-0 with victories over Campbell (60-57) on the road and Delaware (102-77) at home. The 13 wins are a program record for the Cougars in the CAA conference. The Cougars fell in the CAA Quarterfinals to Towson last Friday 69-60 to wrap up CAA play. Charleston was led by Jada Logan with a game-high 24 points.
This is the first time since the 2013-14 season that the Cougars qualify for postseason play. In that year, Charleston also met USC Upstate in the first round and taking the win, which is the last time the two teams have met.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
USC Upstate finished their season with a 16-15 record overall and a 10-6 record in the Big South. The Spartans advanced to the semifinals in their conference tournament before falling to Radford.
The team is led in scoring by Trinity Johnson, averaging 10.8 points per game. Also contributing to the Spartans is Isabell West, averaging 10.3 points along with 6.8 rebounds.
