Brotzman Seals 4-3 Win over Elon

CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston women's tennis team defeated Elon in a tight 4-3 match on Tuesday afternoon at Patriots Point.
The Phoenix took the doubles point to start the day, gaining a 1-0 lead over the Cougars heading into singles play.
Oziera Ahmad was the first to finish for Charleston, finding her 13th win of the season with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
Halli Trinkle finished next, fighting back from a second set loss to claim the victory in the third set, 6-2.
After a win from Francesca Salvato on court five, the match was tied at 3-3, leaving the result of Peyton Brotzman to determine the day for the Cougars.
In a thrilling two-set match, Brotzman fought back from a deficit to take set one. In a tie breaker finish, she was able to take the second set and secure the overall victory for the Cougars.
With the win, the Cougars now improve to 13-4 overall with four-straight victories.
