
Men's Golf Heads to Nashville for Mason Rudolph Championship

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will travel to the Mason Rudolph Championship beginning April 5 for the program's final tournament before the CAA Championship.
The Cougars are coming off a fourth place at the Hootie at Bulls Bay tournament after recording a 281 in the final round, the lowest round of the final day of play. The Cougars defeated five Power 5 programs and were one of five teams to go under par. Charleston recorded the second most birdies in the field with 50 over three days and totaled a combined three eagles. Nevill Ruiter, Max Dupree, Jack Tickle and Waymon Thomas all notched one for Charleston.
Ruiter placed inside the top ten at T9 in his first action of the season. The junior played a 3-under final round of 69, one stroke off of the top individual round of the day to go with four birdies.He climbed eight spots on the final day of play.
No. 9 Alabama, Ball State, Charlotte, Furman, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee St., Northern Illinois, No. 5 Ole Miss, South Alabama, UNCW and No. 3 Vanderbilt will join the Cougars at the Vanderbilt Legends South Course.
