
Cougars Host The Citadel in Finale of Home-and-Home Set

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston plays its final non-conference home game of the season Tuesday when The Citadel visits Patriots Point for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youths. Fans will be invited to upload their photos for display on the videoboard throughout the game. See the link to the right to upload pictures.
The Cougars (33-11) have won 19 of their last 21 and are one-half game behind UNCW in the CAA standings with a 16-4 conference record. Charleston is seeking its fourth winning streak of at least five games this seasons.
The Cougars are 22 games over .500 for the first time since 2015 when they made their most recent NCAA Tournament appearance. With a win over the Bulldogs, Charleston will have their second stretch of 20 wins in 22 games in program history.
The Cougars are coming off a two-game sweep at Towson with the series finale canceled due to rain and field conditions. Charleston hit nine home runs and scored 25 runs against the Tigers and are averaging 9.7 runs over the past 21 games.
Charleston holds a 59-42 lead in the series against The Citadel and has won 21 of the past 22 meetings, including a 5-4 victory at Riley Park two weeks ago. The Cougars rallied from a 3-0 deficit with Emmett Bice allowing only two hits in 3.2 innings to earn the win.
Following Tuesday's game, the Cougars host Northeastern in a key CAA series beginning Friday. Charleston can clinch one of the top two spots and a bye in the opening round of the conference tournament with a series win over the Huskies.
