KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Kieron van Wyk and Nevill Ruiter finished in the top 15 out of 91 competitors in the Visit Knoxville Collegiate to open the 2024-25 season.
van Wyk finished in 11th (-3) after posting a 66 (-4) on day two complete with five birdies and followed it up with a par round on day three. Ruiter was one spot behind at T12 (-2) after a 2-under round, his best of the competition that included an eagle on hole four.
Charleston finished in tenth out of 16 teams, defeating four Power Four teams.
The Cougars will have a quick one day turnaround as the program heads to Toledo, Ohio for the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 10.
