HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team travels to Hofstra on Thursday, January 9 to face the Pride. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.

STORYLINES

Charleston is one of three undefeated teams in league play after opening weekend. The Cougars defeated Hampton and preseason favorite Towson at home to give Chris Mack's squad four straight victories.
This will be the 21st all-time meeting between the Charleston and Hofstra with an even 10-10 split. Charleston won both meetings a season ago.
Ante Brzovic was named CAA Player of the Week for his efforts last weekend, averaging 18.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Brzovic ranks second in the CAA in scoring (19.1 ppg), third in rebounding (8.5 rpg) and fourth in assists (3.6 apg). The senior currently ranks 19th in the nation in field goals made (110) and 14th in the defensive rebounds per game (7.40).
Senior CJ Fulton joins Brzovic in the national rankings, coming in at sixth in assist/turnover ratio (3.95).
Charleston ranks 26th nationally in defensive rebounds per game (28.13) and 32nd in free throw percentage after a combined 90% weekend from the charity stripe vs. Hampton and Towson.
Four Cougars are averaging in double figure scoring, led by Brzovic with 19.1 points per game. Deywilk Tavarez (12.7), Derrin Boyd (12.3), and AJ Smith (11.2) each contributed a 20+ point performance vs. either Hampton or Towson.
The Cougars nine turnovers vs. Towson tied their season low set in Hawaii vs. Charlotte.

SCOUTING THE PRIDE

Hofstra is 9-6 overall and 1-1 in CAA play following a 55-37 road win at Northeastern on Saturday. Cruz Davis led the Pride in the contest with 22 points, while Jean Aranguren tallied a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Davis leads the Pride, averaging 15.0 points per game followed by Aranguren with 14.0. Michael Graham controls the glass, averaging 7.0 rebounds per game followed by Aranguren with 6.0.
