CHARLESTON, S.C. – Freshman Jumana Martin had 24 digs as College of Charleston volleyball beat North Carolina A&T in three sets (25-22, 25-21, 27-25) Friday evening at TD Arena.
The Cougars win their fifth straight contest, improving to 11-6 overall and 5-2 in the CAA while the Aggies slip to 6-8 and 2-3 in league play.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTH CAROLINA A&T:
- Charleston recorded 15 kills in the third and final set.
- Sophomore Emma Duffield tallied 10 kills and four blocks while freshman Caroline Noonan added nine kills, four blocks, three digs, two assists and a service ace.
- Martin led the CofC defense with a game-high 24 digs, helping hold North Carolina A&T to a .121 hitting percentage.
- Freshman Julia Gnida hit .462 in the victory with six kills.
- Eight different Cougars recorded an assist, paced by junior Lauren Dow's 27.
OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 4-3 against North Carolina A&T and 4-1 at home.
- CofC tallied its 100th service ace of the season with its third of the opening set.
- The Cougars improved to 262-9 under head coach Jason Kepner when leading after two sets.
- CofC has held an opponent below a .200 attacking percentage for the tenth time this season.
- Charleston has recorded five-plus aces in 11 matches this season.
