BOSTON, Mass. – Graduate student Izzy Marinelli recorded her first career double-double as College of Charleston volleyball beat Northeastern in four sets (18-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20) Sunday afternoon at the Cabot Center.

The Cougars rise to 13-7 and 7-3 in the CAA while the Huskies fall to 7-10 and 3-5 in league action.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTHEASTERN:

Marinelli had 12 kills to pair with a career-best 10 digs, topping her previous high of nine achieved in Saturday's win.
Freshman Caroline Noonan recorded 14 kills with eight blocks and a .462 hitting percentage.
Fellow first year Makena Parthen hit .500 with 12 kills and five blocks.
Junior Lauren Dow recorded her seventh double-double in the last eight matches with 42 assists and 13 digs.
Charleston hit .333 with 16 kills in set two and tallied 17 kills in the fourth set.

OF NOTE:

Charleston is 17-8 in the series versus Northeastern and have won seven of the last eight contests.
CofC improves to 10-3 in four-set matches against the Huskies.
The Cougars had 13 blocks in both matches this weekend and have had seven contests with 10-plus blocks in the last 10 games.
The Cougars have held an opponent below a .190 hitting percentage for the 12th time in 2025.
Marinelli is the third Cougar to record a double-double in 2025, joining Dow and sophomore Emma Duffield.
