
Cougars Return to TD Arena to Host Belmont

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team returns home to host the Belmont Bruins on Sunday, November 30. Action is set for 3:30 p.m. at TD Arena.
STORYLINES
In order to sell and/or serve an alcoholic beverage in TD Arena, the following requirements apply:
As fans enter the main entrance of TD Arena on November 3, they will see new walk-through magnetometers, or metal detectors. In addition to the existing Clear Bag and prohibited items policy at TD Arena, the magnetometers are a new added security feature to enhance the safety of our fans.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
STORYLINES
- Charleston enters the contest 4-4 overall after a third-place finish at the 2025 Paradise Jam with wins over UMass and Evansville. The trip marked the Cougars' top MTE finish since winning the 2022 Charleston Classic.
- Sunday will mark just the second all-time meeting between the Cougars and Bruins. Belmont won the first meeting 72-65 on November 20, 1982 in Charleston. The Cougars would go on the win the 1983 NAIA National Championship that season.
- Belmont enters the contest undefeated, most recently winning the GEICO Coconut Hoops Championship. The Bruins defeated Toledo in the championship game, the highest ranked KenPom team the program has played so far this season at 146.
- This will mark the Cougars' third Missouri Valley opponent so far this season, having hosting Drake at TD Arena and defeating Evansville in St. Thomas.
- Connor Hickman made his Cougar debut in the Virgin Islands, starting all three contests on his way to All-Tournament honors. The graduate student averaged 13.7 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game as the only Cougar to score in double-figures in all three games.
- Redshirt sophomore Chol Machot has recorded 19 blocks so far this season, good for the 13th most in the country. He is averaging 2.38 blocks per game, ranking 23rd in the nation.
- Freshman Martin Kalu became the first Cougar in the program's Division I history to open his career with four consecutive games in double-figure scoring. The German guard has recorded two 20+ point performances so far this season, most recently dropping 21 in the win over Evansville.
- Charleston ranks 15th in the nation in turnovers per game, committing 9.3 per game.
- Four Cougars are currently averaging double-figure points, led by Hickman with 13.7 and followed by Kalu with 12.1, Jlynn Counter with 11.4, and Machot with 11.2 per game.
- Belmont enter Sunday's game undefeated at 7-0. The Bruins beat Toledo to win the GEICO Coconut Hoops championship, led by Tyler Lundblade's season-high 22 points to earn tournament MVP honors. Lundblade, who led the nation in 3-point field goal percentage last season, currently ranks ninth in the nation in 3-point field goals per game.
- The Bruins ranks third nationally in field goal percentage defense, 18th in hte nation in defensive rebounds per game, and 37th in the nation in turnovers forced per game.
- Belmont is led by head coach Casey Alexander, currently in his seventh season at the helm of the program. Alexander is a 1995 graduate of Belmont.

- Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off.
- Concession stands will open when doors open, and the Cougar Spirit Shop will open one hour prior to tip-off.
- Add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay App prior to arriving at TD Arena for the smoothest entry experience.

- An ADA drop-off lane is provided in the right-hand lane traveling along Meeting Street next to TD Arena.
In order to sell and/or serve an alcoholic beverage in TD Arena, the following requirements apply:
- Moving forward, a valid ID is required to be scanned/swiped for each transaction.
- Vertical IDs will not be accepted at sales locations regardless of the individual's age.
- All ID checks will be handled directly by our Aramark concession partners at each stand. EPI staff will no longer check ID's or provide wristbands.
- No more than two (2) alcoholic beverages may be sold or served per transaction.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Fans will enter TD Arena at the Meeting Street entrance.
- Once inside, fans will be asked to take their belongings out of their pockets and place them in a bin. This includes phone, wallet, keys, etc.
- If you bring a bag compliant with the Clear Bag policy, your items can be placed in the bag.
- EPI security staff will provide guidance on when to walk through the magnetometer and assist in retrieving your belongings after you clear through the magnetometer.
- Finally, approach the pedestal ticket scanners at the base of the stairs, scan your tickets, and cheer on the Cougars!
- Fans can watch the broadcast live on FloCollege or listen to the Varsity App with the Voice of the Cougars Everett German and Danny Johnson on both calls.
