ORLANDO, Fla. - The College of Charleston women's golf team finished in tenth place at the PDI Intercollegiate to start the 2025 spring slate. The field featured six teams ranked in the top 40 in the country, with the Cougars topping three Power 4 programs.
"It was a great final round from Adrian [Anderson]! I was a little frustrated we could not get someone to go with her today. We have enough talent in the lineup to have more than one person go low each day," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "Mistakes are magnified in fields like this and we made more than our share of mistakes this week .Not playing our best and finishing in middle of this field is a testament to the talent level of this team."
Anderson shot a 6-under 66 final round, tied for the lowest round of the day among all competitors. The junior posted seven birdies as she climbed 30 spots from her second round finish.
Emma Schimpf led the Cougars at T30 (-3) followed by Molly Hardwick at T43 (-1), Anderson at T48 (E), Emilie von Finckenstein at T51 (+1), and Emilia von Glahn at T77 (+8).
The Cougars return to action on February 16 for the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational in Sarasota, Florida hosted by Michigan State.
