
Women's Tennis Splits Pair of Matches

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team defeated Samford on Tuesday afternoon at the Turner Tennis Center, 4-3. The Cougars took to the court again on Wednesday, falling to Gardner-Webb 5-2.
The Cougars won four of six singles points to secure the win on the day. Maja Jekauc earned a win on court 1 in two sets, while Jaiden McKee also grabbed a win in two sets over her opponent.
Oziera Ahmad earned the win on her birthday as her and Isabella De Luise battled to wins in three sets.
Facing the Bulldogs, Oziera Ahmad earned a win on her court along with Bella De Luise to earn two points for the Cougars.
Charleston will return to action on Friday, March 14 to face VCU. Doubles play is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
