CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's basketball will travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers in the third round of the WNIT.

- The Cougars advance to the Super 16 after a convincing 76-56 win over Howard on Thursday inside TD Arena.
- Charleston enters the matchup with a 25-7 record on the season, tallying their winningest season in program history with a win over Delaware in the CAA Quarterfinals and then a victory over Howard in the WNIT.
- CofC finished the regular season 14-4, finishing second in the conference after an eight-game winning streak to wrap up the season.

- Taryn Barbot's 40-point game against UNCW tied the program record for most points in a single game.
- Rutgers sits 12-19 on the season, finishing Big Ten play 3-15.
- The Scarlet Knights advance to the third round of the WNIT after a win against Army on their home court, 71-60.
- RU has two players averaging double-digits, led by Kiyomi McMiller (18.7) and Destiny Adams (17.7).
- Charleston and Rutgers will face each other for the first time in program history, with neither team having met before.
