Schimpf Leads Cougars on Day One of the Coach Mo Classic

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The College of Charleston women's golf team sits in second place after day one of the Coach Mo Classic hosted by Furman at St. Johns Golf Club. The No. 44 Cougars are 9-over, eight strokes behind leader No. 39 Purdue.
Emma Schimpf leads at Cougars in second place, two strokes out of the individual lead. She totaled six birdies on the day and nearly shot a bogey-free second round. She is just one of four players below par entering Tuesday's final round.
Molly Hardwick enters the final round at even par at T5. She totaled six birdies including three straight in the opening round on two, three, and four. Adrian Anderson joins Schimpf and Hardwick in the top ten at T10.
The third and final round tees off at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, April 1.
