Women's Golf Hosts Briars Creek Invitational

CHARLESTON, SC – The College of Charleston women's golf team will host the 12th annual Briars Creek Invitational on March 10-11th at the Golf Club at Briars Creek.
Charleston will welcome Campbell, ECU, No. 6 Florida State, Furman, Iowa, Kent State, Maryland, Miami, Minnesota, NC State, Old Dominion, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, SMU, and Tulsa.
Head coach Jamie Futrell's program last won the tournament in 2021 with a one stroke victory over Miami.
The Cougars are coming off a second-place finish at the Daniel Island Invitational led by top finisher, Molly Hardwick in fifth (-6) and Emma Schimpf in seventh (-5). As a team, Charleston led the field in par 4 scoring (3.98), par 5 scoring (4.80), and total birdies (52).
This will be the final home tournament of the season for the Cougars before the CAA Championship. They will tee off from Briars Creek Monday, March 10 at 8:30 a.m. with No. 6 Florida State, NC State, and Purdue
