
#3 Charleston Draws #2 Sweet Briar in NCEA Semifinals

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Three-seeded College of Charleston equestrian will face No. 2 seeded Sweet Briar in the Semifinals of the 2025 NCEA Championships April 18-19 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla.
"Incredibly proud and excited as we head to the NCEA Championship ranked as the No. 3 seed," said head coach Natasha Vitkovic. "Our first appearance at these Championships. In all reality, we just want to enjoy this experience and ride every stride, while we continue to make history together as a team this year, as ONE."
The Cougars won the ECAC Single Discipline Championships after defeating Sacred Heart and Dartmouth by scores of 7-3. For their efforts, CofC won a plethora awards, headlined by head coach Natasha Vitkovic being named ECAC Single Discipline Coach of the Year and senior Kathryn McCarthy earning Flat Rider of the Year.
McCarthy was also tabbed All-Conference in Flat and All-Tournament Team in Flat and Fences. Senior Hailey Pendl also collected awards in all three categories while sophomore Camilla Murray took home All-Conference in Flat and All-Tournament Team in Fences. Tinos was named Best Tournament Horse to round out the awards for the Cougars.
With a victory against Sweet Briar, Charleston would face the winner of No. 1 Lynchburg and No. 4 Dartmouth.
