Beach Volleyball Set for Chanticleer Challenge

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will continue the season at the Chanticleer Challenge on April 4-5 hosted by Coastal Carolina.
The Cougars will face UNCW and UAB on Friday before taking on Lynchburg and host Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
Charleston most recently competed at the Sun Belt Midseason Tournament, taking two duals off No. 18 Georgia State at the 1s and the 4.
Cassie Thayse and Sophie Hays, who secured the win at the 4s vs. the Panthers, lead Charleston with eight dual wins along with Ella Duffner and Emily Banitt, who secured the victory at the 1s.
So far this season, Charleston is 0-4 vs. UNCW and 0-2 vs. Coastal Carolina. The Cougars have not played UAB since 2019, winning the last match 3-2. This will be the first ever meeting between Charleston and Lynchburg.
