
Men's Basketball Continues Road Trip at Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team will take on the Northeastern Huskies for the first and only time this season on Saturday in Boston at 2:00 p.m.

STORYLINES
- The Cougars are 14-11 all-time against the Huskies and are winners of the last seven. This will be the first time the Cougars have played in the Cabot Center rather than Matthews Arena.
- The contest will feature two of the top three teams in scoring offense in CAA play, led by Northeastern with 80.6 ppg followed by Charleston in third with 78.9 ppg.
- Charleston is coming off a 66-64 victory over Hofstra on Thursday night in Long Island. After entering the locker room down 30-23, the Cougars went on a 16-3 second half run and never looked back. With the win, Chris Mack's team is 6-0 this season in games decided by 5 points or less. Overall, the Cougars led for only 7:18 against the Pride.
- Jlynn Counter led Charleston at Hofstra with 22 points, ten rebounds, and five assists for his second career double-double. The graduate student has recorded 20+ points eight times this season, with four outings coming in CAA play. He ranks sixth in the CAA in scoring in league competition.
- Current CAA Player of the Week Christian Reeves recorded his second straight double-double and fourth overall with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Reeves earned Player of the Week honors after averaging a double-double with 25.0 ppg and 13.5 rpg in wins over Campbell and Elon last week. He ranks fifth in CAA play in rpg.
- The contest will serve as a homecoming for junior Colby Duggan, who is averaging 11.2 ppg and 2.3 rpg. He enters Saturday's game second in the CAA in free throw percentage.
- Charleston continues to be one of the top teams in the nation in getting to the free throw line, ranking 33rd in attempts per game (25.4) and 31st in makes per game (18.5).
- Chol Machot currently ranks fourth in the nation in total blocks (57) and eighth in blocks per game (2.59).
- Through the Cougars' nine conference games so far this season, rookie Chadlyn Traylor has dished out 19 assists with just two turnovers off the bench.
