
Cougars Face Aggies in Road Weekend

GREENSBORO, N.C. – College of Charleston volleyball begins a new month of action Oct. 2 and 3 at North Carolina A&T. Match times from Moore Gymnasium are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m.

OPENING SERVE:
- Charleston beat Towson 3-0 and 3-2 last weekend to improve to 4-0 in the Coastal Athletic Association and improve its winning streak to 12.
- The College went 11-0 in the month of September, losing just four sets. This is the first time under head coach Jason Kepner the Cougars went undefeated in a month with double-digit wins.
- CofC is 1-of-3 schools in the country with an active winning streak of at least 12, joining Nebraska (13-0) and Pittsburgh (12-0).
- The Cougars lead the CAA and are 29th nationally with a .271 hitting percentage.
- Sophomore Caroline Noonan was named CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week Sept. 28 after hitting .520 with 27 kills, including 17 with 8 blocks and 5 digs in Saturday's five-set victory.
- Noonan enters the weekend fourth in the country with a .485 hitting percentage.
- Sophomore Julia Gnida recorded her second double-double of the year in Saturday's five-set match, recording career-highs in kills (17) and digs (15) while adding in 5 blocks.
- Junior Helena Vukovic also notched her second double-double in 2026, dishing out a season-high 47 assists to pair with 13 digs and 3 blocks.
- Sophomore Makena Parthen is hitting .339 with 80 kills this year while posting 0.95 blocks/set, good for 11th in the CAA.
- Kepner enters the weekend with 399 career victories.
SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T:
- North Carolina A&T is 5-8 overall and 0-2 in the CAA after losing both contests to Northeastern in its conference-opening weekend. The Aggies are 1-3 in home matches.
- Tyne Ross is 20th in the nation with 206 kills and 29th with 4.04 kills/set. N.C. A&T has 70 service aces and 138 service errors in 51 sets.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 4-5 against North Carolina A&T in the series. Three of the victories have come via a straight set sweep.
UP NEXT:
- Charleston hosts High Point Oct. 6 in its final non-conference match of the year. First serve from TD Arena is set for 6 p.m. with the contest airing live on FloCollege.
