
Cougars Host Monmouth in Final Regular Season Home Contest

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team will host Monmouth for the final home game of the regular season on Saturday, February 21. Action is set for 4:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

GAME DAY REMINDERS
In order to sell and/or serve an alcoholic beverage in TD Arena, the following requirements apply:
As fans enter the main entrance of TD Arena on November 3, they will see new walk-through magnetometers, or metal detectors. In addition to the existing Clear Bag and prohibited items policy at TD Arena, the magnetometers are a new added security feature to enhance the safety of our fans.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
STORYLINES
- Saturday's contest will serve as Senior Day for the Class of 2026. The Cougars will honor graduate students Connor Hickman, Kendall Taylor, and Jlynn Counter, senior Bryce Baker, and student managers Avery Vanderweele and Wallace Johnson.
- This will be the first and only meeting between Charleston and Monmouth this season. The programs are currently separated by 3.5 games in the CAA standings. A win against the Hawks would secure a top four seed and double-bye in CAA Men's Basketball Championship for the Cougars.
- The teams last met in the 2025 CAA Quarterfinals with Charleston moving on to the semifinals after a thrilling 79-78 overtime win. Charleston holds the 4-1 all-time series edge against Monmouth with the first and only loss coming during the 2024-25 regular season in West Long Branch.
- Charleston is coming off a 74-61 win at North Carolina A&T on Thursday night. the Cougars led by as much as 23, shooting 53% from three-point range in the first half. Counter led Charleston with 16 points, seven assists, and four rebounds while rookie Chris Davis Jr. recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high ten rebounds.
- Counter leads the CAA in total assists (151) and assists per game (5.6). His 155 assists are tied for the 12 most in a single season in school history.
- Redshirt sophomore Chol Machot continues to be one of the top shot blockers in the country, ranking third in total blocks (74) and seventh in blocks per game (2.64). Two blocks against the Hawks would move him to fourth all-time in a single season in program history.
- The Cougars are one of the top defensive rebounding teams in the nation, ranking 34th in the country (27.25)
- Help us color TD Arena maroon and white! Each section has been assigned a color to wear and support the Cougars on Saturday. Additionally, all fans will receive a colored pom-pom at their seat.

- Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off.
- Concession stands will open when doors open, and the Cougar Spirit Shop will open one hour prior to tip-off.
- Add your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay App prior to arriving at TD Arena for the smoothest entry experience.
- Don't forget the College of Charleston has implemented a Clear Bag Policy for athletics events. CLICK HERE to read the policy.
- An ADA drop-off lane is provided in the right-hand lane traveling along Meeting Street next to TD Arena.
In order to sell and/or serve an alcoholic beverage in TD Arena, the following requirements apply:
- Moving forward, a valid ID is required to be scanned/swiped for each transaction.
- Vertical IDs will not be accepted at sales locations regardless of the individual's age.
- All ID checks will be handled directly by our Aramark concession partners at each stand. EPI staff will no longer check ID's or provide wristbands.
- No more than two (2) alcoholic beverages may be sold or served per transaction.

- Fans will enter TD Arena at the Meeting Street entrance.
- Once inside, fans will be asked to take their belongings out of their pockets and place them in a bin. This includes phone, wallet, keys, etc.
- If you bring a bag compliant with the Clear Bag policy, your items can be placed in the bag.
- EPI security staff will provide guidance on when to walk through the magnetometer and assist in retrieving your belongings after you clear through the magnetometer.
- Finally, approach the pedestal ticket scanners at the base of the stairs, scan your tickets, and cheer on the Cougars!
- Monday's contest will air live on CBS Sports Network with Paul Fritscher and Tarik Turner on the call. As always, fans can listen on the Varsity App with the Voice of the Cougars Everett German and Danny Johnson on the call.
