Taryn Barbot Earns Fifth CAA Player of the Week Award

RICHMOND, Va. – Taryn Barbot earned Coastal Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week honors after dropping a season-high 36 points in the Cougars' 88-78 win at Towson on Friday night.
Along with reaching the 30 point mark for the ninth time in her career, the junior guard also grabbed five rebounds and three steals against the Tigers. Additionally, the Floral Park, N.Y. native shot 50% from the field (11-for-22), 40% from three with two triples and went 12-for-13 from the charity stripe (92.3%).
This is Barbot's ninth time being named the CAA Player of the Week, and her fifth time earning the honor this season. No other player in the CAA has earned more than two Player of the Week honors during the 2025-26 campaign. She also garnered the 2024-25 Player of the Year award, earned the 2025-26 Preseason CAA Player of the Year award, and was named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List this year.
Barbot has scored 1,536 points as a Cougar and is eighth on Charleston's all-time scoring list. She's also just the seventh Cougar in program history to score over 1,000 points and grab over 500 rebounds.
The Cougars return to Charleston, S.C. for a contest against William & Mary on Friday, February 27. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., the game will be streamed on FloCollege and a link to the stream as well as live stats can be found on the women's basketball schedule page at cofcsports.com.
