Women's Golf Hosts Briar's Creek Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's golf team will host the 13th annual Briar's Creek Invitational March 16-17 at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek.
The Cougars will welcome Purdue, Penn State, Boston College, No. 24 SMU, No .12 UCF, Miami, Maryland, Clemson, NC State, Iowa, Michigan State, East Carolina, Georgia, and Notre Dame to Charleston for the annual tournament.
Charleston is coming off a T7 finish at the Daniel Island Invitational, also hosted by the Cougars. Charleston played an even par second round at the Daniel Island Club Ralston Creek Course for the program's top team round of the event. Molly Hardwick led Charleston with a 15th place, 1-over finish. The senior sank three birdies on the front nine during Tuesday's final round. She ranked second in par 4 scoring across all competitors (3.90) and fifth in total birdies (10).
Jamie Futrell's program finished eighth out of 17 teams at last year's Briar's Creek Invitational. The Cougars last won the event in 2021.
