Ahmad and Trinkle Named CAA Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Oziera Ahmad and Francesca Salvato earned Coastal Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week honors after helping Charleston earn two conference wins and three total wins last week.
The Cougars' No. 2 duo helped Charleston record CAA victories over Towson (6-1) and Hofstra (7-0), as well as a 4-3 triumph over South Florida. Ahmad and Trinkle clinched the doubles point against Towson by defeating the Tigers' No. 2 pair, 6-3, and downed their Hofstra opponents 6-0. They also helped earn the crucial doubles point against the Bulls with a dominant 6-2 win. Additionally, Ahmad and Trinkle each added two singles wins.
This is the Cougars second CAA Doubles Team of the Week award this season. Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato previously earned the honor on March 10 after helping Charleston earn the critical doubles point in the Cougars' 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Bulls.
After today's match against No. 72 Elon, the Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday, March 25 for a home CAA matchup against Drexel. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
