CONWAY, S.C. - The College of Charleston beach volleyball team defeated Wingate 4-1 before falling to host Coastal Carolina 4-1 on Wednesday in Conway.

Charleston swept courts 2, 3, 4 and 5 to secure the win over Wingate for the second straight season.

Sophie Sageer and Madison Loving went 2-0 on day on court 5, earning the Cougars lone dual win over Coastal Carolina in a 21-16, 21-17 sweep.

The Cougars return to action this weekend at UNCW where they will take on the Seahawks as well as two rematches with the Chanticleers.
