
Five Cougars Earn CAA Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Five Cougars have been awarded CAA postseason honors, including Sia Cariov for All-CAA First Team Singles, Oziera Ahmad and Jaiden McKee for All-CAA Third Team Singles, Cariov and Francesca Salvato for All-CAA First Team Doubles and Ahmad and Riley Trinkle for All-CAA Third Team Doubles.
Cariov made the All-CAA First Team Singles squad after competing in the No. 1 slot and earning 13 wins during the 2026 campaign. She collected seven victories against CAA opponents and earned a total of 11 sweeps this season. The sophomore from Delray Beach, Florida also teamed up with Francesca Salvato to earn All-CAA First Team Doubles recognition for the second year in a row.
Salvato (Miami Beach, Florida) paired up with Cariov to earn 12 wins in the No. 1 spot during her senior year. The duo collected a total of three wins over CAA opponents this season.
Ahmad has earned a postseason award for the third-straight season. After earning Rookie of the Year in her debut season with the Cougars she received All-CAA Third Team Singles recognition last spring. This year, the junior posted 11 wins in the No. 2 slot and collected four victories over CAA opponents. The Hampton, New Hampshire native tabbed eight sweeps on the season and also teamed up with freshman Riley Trinkle to earn All-CAA Third Team Doubles honors.
Ahmad and Trinkle tallied 12 wins in the No. 2 doubles spot, including an impressive 6 wins over CAA opponents this season.
McKee competed primarily in the No. 4 spot for the Cougars this season and collected nine wins on the year. The senior from Buffalo, New York defeated four CAA opponents and tabbed seven sweeps on the year. McKee also earned 10 doubles wins this season.
The College of Charleston women's tennis team will head to Rome, Georgia for the fourth annual UTR Sports NIT Championship beginning on Tuesday, May 5. Charleston will be the No. 7 seed and the Cougars will face off against No. 2 North Texas with first serve set for 4:30 p.m. at the Rome Tennis Center on Tuesday, May 5.
