NCEA Opens Season at Sacred Heart, Dartmouth

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston NCEA team will begin the 2026-27 season on Saturday, September 26 at Sacred Heart before taking on Dartmouth on Sunday, September 27.
"We're really excited to hit the road this weekend and compete in another NCEA/ ECAC conference matchup. It's especially exciting to see both our seasoned riders and newer team members step into the arena and represent the College of Charleston," said head coach Natasha Vitkovic. "This weekend will be a great opportunity for our experienced riders to lead, while our new members gain valuable competition experience. We're looking forward to riding together, supporting one another, and putting our preparation to the test."
The Cougars were picked second in the NCEA single discipline rankings to start the 2026-27 season after a runner-up finish at the 2026 NCEA National Championship, the program's second straight appearance in the national championship.
Sacred Heart was picked sixth in the preseason poll, while Dartmouth took the fourth spot.
Last season at the NCEA National Championship, Samantha Aisenberg scored an 82.7 in the fences to take a point for the Cougars. Kenda Murray (85.7) and Lainie Rubin (81.7) grabbed points in the flat for the Cougars at the competition. All three riders return for another season.
