Gonzalez joined the College of Charleston staff in August of 2021 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Cougars' baseball team. As an assistant athletic trainer, he works under the guidance of the head trainer and assists with the daily activities of the athletic training department.
He is originally from Florida, where he earned his bachelor's degree from University of Central Florida in 2017. Then in 2021 he was the first in his family to earn a Master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
In between earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s, Gonzalez interned through The Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) for the Florida Fire Frogs, an Atlanta Braves affiliate. Gonzalez then spent a year as an Athletic Trainer at the Miami Marlins' Dominican Academy.
Gonzalez is happily married to his wife, Rebecca. In his free time he loves to travel, play video games and watch sports.
