2016 (Sophomore) - Cross Country - Appeared in two races for the College ... Ran a 5K time of 22:18.3 at the Royals Challenge, finishing the race 259th despite running half of it missing a shoe ... Finished 180th at the VertCross Invitational, running a 6K time of 26:19.47 ... Indoor - Competed in two meets for the Cougars, racing in the 3000m ... Recorded a collegiate-best time of 12:04.54 at the Art & Linda Maillet Open to take 23rd
2015 (Freshman at UNO) - Competed in four meets for Nebraska-Omaha…put up a personal best 6K time of 24:25.3 at the Bradley Classic (Oct. 16)…ran a personal best 5K time of 20:59.85 at the Mount Marty Invite (Oct. 24).
High School - Was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track for Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant, S.C….as a senior, was a member of the all-region team and finished fifth overall at the Lower State Championship where her team finished first…helped the team to a runner up finish at the state championship…was also first team academic all-conference…in track, ran the anchor leg on Wando’s county champion 4 x 800 meter relay team…as a junior, was first team all-city and all-conference in cross country and first team all-state for both indoor and outdoor track…also competed for the Mt. Pleasant Track Club where she was a three-time state champion, a two-time regional qualifier and a national qualifier in the 3,000 meters and was an Olympic Distance Triathlon national qualifier.
Personal - Born in Springfield, Ill….Daughter of Col. Tracy and Deb Nelson…Has a brother, Everett…Her father was a member of the All-Army rugby team and both her mother and brother are triathletes…majoring in biochemistry
