Senior (2015-16): Limited to just one doubles appearance in the fall season, a match with Katherine Schofield against Steffensen/Tang of Princeton (L, 3-8), as she rehabbed from injury ... Appeared in 26 matches for the Cougars over the course of the spring season, primarily competing in flight three singles and flight two doubles ... Peeled off a five-match singles winning streak from Feb 16 through Mar 8 ... Finished the spring campaign with a 14-8 singles record, as well as a 7-6 doubles record, competing primarily alongside Helena Nyikos ... Went undefeated in singles play during the CAA Tournament, picking up wins over UNCW's Alix Theodossiou (6-1, 6-0) and W&M's Laren Goodman (1-6, 6-4, 6-2) ... Finished her CofC career with a 43-28 singles record and 27-22 doubles mark
Junior (2014- 15): Battling a chronic illness her entire junior campaign, McAmis remained a tough competitor...Earned her first win of single match play in her hometown dominating Kayla Gammie of UNC- Greensboro 6-0, 6-1...Won three of four final double's matches of the season with partner Grace Baker.
Sophomore (2013-14): Helping lead the Cougars to a successful opening season in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), McAmis went 11-9 in singles play and 2-2 in doubles action…Playing primarily on court two, where she went 10-7 on the season, McAmis earned her first win of the season in a court one win over Davidson on Jan. 19…Claimed a thrilling court two victory against Wake Forest’s Samantha Asch, 4-6, 7-6 (11-9), 11-9…Helped the Cougars down William & Mary on Feb. 22 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the number two position…Won 6-3, 6-1 on court two to help the Cougars upset No. 65 Iowa at the CofC Tennis Complex on Mar. 18.
Freshman (2012-13): Honored with all-Conference Freshman Team honors, McAmis, a highly-touted recruit of Greensboro, N.C., earned an impressive 15-6 singles record her first year in Charleston as well as going 10-6 in doubles action alongside teammates Samantha Maddox, Jenny Falcone and Kelly Kambourelis…Started her career in the maroon and white with a victory over Winthrop’s Alice Garcia, 6-2, 6-4…Was sensational against North Carolina State, sweeping her Wolfpack opponent, 6-0, 6-0…Put forth one of the best stretches of play by any freshman in Cougar women’s tennis history helping the Cougars to an undefeated 8-0 record including their fifth-consecutive SoCon Championship crown…Earned SoCon Athlete of the month honors for April going 7-1 in singles play, notching all seven of her wins in straight-sets by dominant scores and all but one at the No. 3 position…In her seven wins, McAmis allowed no more than three games in any set…Closed the month out with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Elon’s Viviana Stavreva in the SoCon tournament title match on April 21.
High School: Five-star recruit from Southeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, N.C…Ranked as high as No. 33 in the nation in the Class of 2012 by TennisRecruitng.net… Was the 2009 Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference Player of the Year…Achieved No. 6 ranking in the Southern Region in Girls’ 18’s…Crowned Tarheel Qualifier Doubles Champion in 2012…Three-Time North Carolina State Doubles Champion in 2010, 2011 and 2012…North Carolina State Closed Singles Champion in Girls’ 18’s in 2009…Fall Southern Closed Finalist in 2009…Fall Southern Closed Champion in 2010…Featured by The Tennis Recruiting Network in November 2011… Member of the Habitat for Humanity Club and volunteered at a local elementary school.
