Senior (2014-15): Went 9-9 in singles, competing in the fourth, fifth and sixth flights ... Scored a win in the CAA Tournament over Elon's Kamila Beisenova in the sixth flight, prevailing 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 ... Rode a five-match winning streak that lasted from late March to early April ... Went 8-8 on the season in third flight doubles action, pairing up with Mara Argyriou and Brooke McAmis most often ... Pieced together a six-match winning streak toward the end of the year, including back-to-back shutout wins against Ava Todd and Blake Nickles of Davidson and Tara Lamers and Veronika Viegas of Newberry
Junior (2013-14): Returning from injury, Baker competed in 16 singles matches during the Cougars 2013-14 campaign, going 8-8 overall as well as earning a 2-1 doubles mark in limited action alongside Samantha Maddox and Thai Thompson…In her first action of the season, Baker downed Natalie Looney of No. 33 South Carolina, 6-3, 7-5…Defeated Winthrop’s Beth Williamson 7-5, 4-6, 10-6 in one of the season’s most exciting matches…Played a critical role in the Cougars’ success over Savannah State, Jacksonville State, Wofford and James Madison.
Sophomore (2012-13): After making her mark as a freshman, Baker looked to continue her run of form early in her sophomore season, starting the campaign with a court six victory over Winthrop’s Ekin Gunaysu, 7-5, 7-6…suffered a season ending knee injury against North Carolina State on Nov. 17.
Freshman (2011-12): 2012 SoCon Academic Honor Roll student…Won three of four matches played at No. 6 singles and three of four matches at No. 3 doubles with teammate Olivia McMillan…Went 1-0 in Southern Conference action with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Taylor Casey of Western Carolina.
High School: Graduated from Myers Park High School in 2011…Ranked No. 73 overall in the Class of 2011 by The Tennis Recruiting Network…Ranked No. 1 in the state of North Carolina and No. 20 in the South region in 2009 and 2010…Named the 2009 North Carolina High School Female Player of the Year…NCHSAA 4A Singles Semifinalist in 2010…NCHSAA 4A Singles Runner-Up in 2009…Four-time All-State Women’s Tennis Team selection from 2008-10…2009 North Carolina State Closed Girls 18’s Doubles Champion.
