But, the College of Charleston had The Citadel winning, while The Citadel had The College earning the victory.
According to the February 2, 1918 edition of The News and Courier (now The Charleston Post and Courier), the College of Charleston outscored The Citadel 31-3 in the second half en route to an easy 33-point win. The College led 17-12 at intermission.
The rivalry, which dates back to the 1900-01 season, is even entering tonight's 75th edition at McAlister Field House on The Citadel's campus. Tipoff is slated for 7:06 p.m.
With a win tonight, the Cougars can take their first lead in the series since the 1914-15 campaign when Charleston held a 5-4 edge in the series. A win would also give Charleston its 26th consecutive season of at least 15 victories.
