The Cougars improve to 10-5 overall and 5-0 in the Southern Conference, while the Wildcats go to 9-7 and 1-1.
After dropping a close 9-7 decision at the number one doubles, the Cougars rebounded with wins at number two and three to take the doubles point heading into singles play.
Charleston went on to take four of the six singles matches, with Rachel Magory, Whitney Malina, Maxine Capewell and Lauren Stewart picking up the Cougar wins. Davidson's Meggie Patterson and Kate Levitt won their matches at the number two and five spots, respectively.
Davidson returns home to play Chattanooga on Friday, March 26 at 2 PM, before traveling to East Tennessee State and Appalachian State on Saturday and Sunday. The College of Charleston travels to Wofford Mar. 26th for a 2:00 PM match before heading to Furman Mar. 27th for an 11:00 AM.
