#articleRelated { display: none !important; } Despite splitting the six singles matches, the Wofford women's tennis team was not able to overcome the Southern Conference leading College of Charleston Cougars in a 4-3 loss Friday afternoon at the Reeves Tennis Center.

Wofford garnered a win in one of the three doubles matches as the No. 3 duo of Kristen Bowman and Lauren Marie Whisenhunt handed Whitney Malina and Ashley Willis a 9-7 defeat.

In singles play, Wendy Rohr won her 10th straight match with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Rachel Magory at the No. 1 slot. Ellen Rogers also continued her strong spring with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Gabriela Moreira at the No. 2 position.

The Lady Terriers earned their final point of the match as Bowman used three sets to rally and knock off Lauren Stewart, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

With the loss, Wofford drops to 8-4 overall and 3-2 in the league. The Cougars improve to 12-5 overall and 6-0 in the SoCon.
