The Cougars fall to 12-6 overall and 6-1 in the Southern Conference. It marked the first CofC loss in the conference this season. Last year's squad had their 19-match streak ended by the same Paladins.
The College of Charleston took one doubles match but fell in the other two to drop the doubles point to the Paladins. Furman took the first, fourth and fifth singles matches to clinch the victory. Gabriella Moreira, Whitney Malina and Lauren Stewart won their singles matches.
The Cougars host Coastal Carolina Mar. 31st in a 3:00 PM match at Patriots Point.
