#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The College of Charleston women's tennis team swept every match, including two third-set tiebreakers, to take the 7-0 win over the Appalachian State Mountaineers this afternoon at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

The Cougars improve to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the SoCon, while the Mountaineers fall to 2-6 and 0-2 in the league.

Rachel Magory, Gabriela Moreira, Lauren Stewart and Priscilla Roberts won their matches with relative ease but Maxine Capewell and Chelsea Albertz swapped the first and second sets with Appalachian State to force the third-set tiebreakers. Capwell took the third set over Victoria Moody by a score of 11-9, while Albertz took the third set, 8-6, over Mountaineer Anja Gugger to secure the sweep.

The Cougars took the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point to open the match.

Charleston hosts Lafayette Monday, Mar. 14th at 2:00 PM at Patriots Point.
