The Cougars improve to 7-4 while Lafayette falls to 3-3 overall.
Rachel Magory and Gabriela Moreira swept their singles matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0 each at the number one and two singles over Chez Saricas and Lauren Clarke, while Chelsea Albertz took the 6-1, 6-1 win at number three over Jessica Kissen. Lauren Stewart won at number four with the 6-3, 6-0 score over Stephanie Rosman and at number five it was Jenna Marks with the 6-3, 6-4 decision over Danielle Bailey. The only loss for the Cougars came at the number six spot as Jennifer Hancock fell to Meghan Fitzgerald 6-3, 6-4.
The Cougar doubles teams only lost two games combined as the number three took the 8-2 decision with numbers one and two winning by the score of 8-0 each.
Charleston hosts Wofford Wednesday, Mar. 16th, at 1:30 PM, while Lafayette stays in Charleston to face Charleston Southern at 12:00 PM.
