#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The College of Charleston women's tennis team saw its 11 match winning streak come to an end as they dropped a Southern Conference match to Furman, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

With the loss, CofC drops to 15-5 overall and 6-2 in the SoCon while Furman improves to 17-3 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

Furman took the doubles point to open up the match, getting a key win at number three doubles as Shannon Moore and Lauren Osborne took a 9-7 decision over Jenna Marks and Priscilla Roberts. At number two doubles, Rachel Magory and Maxine Capewell defeated the Paladins' duo of Marti Morris and Jacqueline Eckert, 8-5.

In singles action, Eckert took a three set thriller from Chelsea Albertz, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (5), at number four singles.

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday when they face Georgia Southern in a key Southern Conference match at Patriots Point starting at 2:00pm. Furman will travel to Boone, N.C. for a conference match against Appalachian State on Wednesday.
