#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The College of Charleston women's tennis team won its 11th straight match, behind the 13th straight win for Gabriella Moreira, over East Carolina, 6-1, at Patriots Point on Friday afternoon. With the win, CofC improves to 15-4 overall while East Carolina drops to 13-7 on the year.

The Cougars opened up by taking the doubles point with a sweep. At number three singles, the Cougars' Jenna Marks and Priscilla Roberts took an 8-3 win over Raluca Baicu and Alex Smith.

The Cougars took every singles point except at number four singles where ECU's Luiza Borges defeated CofC's Chelsea Albertz, 6-2, 7-6. Moreira continued her winning streak by picking up a hard-fought three set victory over the Pirates' Gillie Bailey, 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (6) at second singles.

The Cougars' match against Florida A&M, scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled. CofC will be back in action on Sunday when they face Furman in Southern Conference action starting at 11:00am.
