The Cougars improve to 1-2 on the year, while James Madison drops its season-opener and goes to 0-1 overall.
Highlighting the doubles matches was an 8-0 win at number two doubles as Maxine Capewell and Ashley Finnegan defeated JMU's Barrett Donner and Anna Khoor.
In singles play the Cougars were just as successful, taking all the matches in straight sets. The toughest match of the day was at number six where Kelsey Darnell defeated Catherine Phillips 6-3, 7-6 (5).
The Cougars stay in Williamsburg and face William & Mary, currently ranked 20th in the nation with a 3-1 record, at 10:00 AM Sunday the 5th..
