Kosha Lance took home the women's weight throw and Summer Chambless set a school record in the pole vault at the Carolina Invite in Chapel Hill, N.C. Saturday on the campus of North Carolina.
Lance threw a distance of 17.67 meters (57' 11 3/4") in the weight throw with the second place performer throwing 16.52 meters, a full meter less than Lance.
Chambless' pole vault of 3.15 meters (10' 4") set a CofC school record for the sophomore from Heflin, Ala.
"This was a solid day for our team as we work toward our goal of the upcoming outdoor season," said head coach Amy Schuckert. "The indoor season is great preparation for the outdoor season and we plan to take full advantage of this opportunity."
The women's distance medley team of Carla Washington, Abby Kostecka, Trina Taylor, and Courtney Williams had a fourth place finish with a time of 13:34.56.
CofC will head to Clemson, S.C. to take part in the Tiger Classic Feb. 10th-11th.
