CofC Women's Tennis Makes in Three in a Row

The College of Charleston women's tennis team swept a shorthanded Catamount team to take the 7-0 win over Western Carolina in action this afternoon at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The Cougars have now won three in a row and are undefeated in conference play with a 2-0 record. Overall, Charleston is 4-6 on the year. The Catamounts drop to 0-6 and 0-1 in the league.
Charleston opened doubles play, taking all three for the point heading into singles play. The third doubles was won by default as Western Carolina did not have enough players.
The Cougars did not give up more than two games in a set at singles and easily won number one through four singles. The Catamounts were forced to surrender number five and six singles with the shortage of players.
Charleston hosts Richmond hte 5th in an 11:00 AM match at Patriots Point while WCU travels to Georgia Southern the same day for a 12:00 PM match.
