In the first of several first-half attempts, CofC midfielder Katie Browne gained possession of the ball at midfield and booted it inside to Schneider. She crossed the ball inside to Julie Romanik who took a shot only to be stopped by Eagles goalie Lauren Santos.
In the 22nd minute, Schneider passed a ball from the right side into Barrow. She took a shot directly in front of the goal from eight yards out for the game-winning goal.
The second CofC goal came when Schneider settled another pass from Katie Browne from the right side. Schneider eluded three Eagle defenders and scored from the middle of the penalty box (27:17).
The Cougars final shot total came to 10, while GSU added two more for a total of six.
The win keeps the Cougars unbeaten in Southern Conference action. The team returns to action Sun., Oct. 7, at 4 when it hosts the Wofford Terriers at Patriots Point Field in
