The victory improves CofC to 12-5 overall and 3-0 in the SoCon, while Appalachian State drops to 7-7 and 0-2 in the Southern Conference.
The Cougars earned one team point by winning all three of the doubles matches. The team of Holly Dowse and Anna Lee Evans won its fourth consecutive doubles match and 12th of the season with an 8-4 victory over Anna Cotton and Frances Blanton of
CofC won all six singles matches to earn the win. Borza won her sixth consecutive singles match of the season and improved to 12-3 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Cash in the No. 3 singles match. CofC's Amanda Becker also improved her singles record to 11-2 with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win over Cotton in the No. 6 singles match. She has won nine out of her last ten singles matches. Albertz, Leskosky, Evans and Dowse also earned singles wins for the Cougars.
