
CofC Obtains 4-3 Victory over UNC Greensboro in Women?s Tennis

The victory improves CofC's record to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in Southern Conference matches. UNC Greensboro drops to 7-9 and 2-4 in the SoCon.
UNCG won two out of the three doubles matches to gain one team point. The lone doubles CofC win came courtesy of Chelsea Albertz and Julia Howard, who improved to 3-0 in doubles matches this season, with an 8-4 victory over Courtney Axel and Whitney Miles of UNCG.
The Cougars won four out of the six singles matches to clinch the victory. CofC's Laura Borza improved to 14-3 for the season and won her eighth consecutive singles match with a 6-7, 6-2, 7-5 triumph over Erica Zabkar in the No. 2 singles match. Holly Dowse won her fifth straight singles match and improved her record to 10-2 with an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win over Axel for the Cougars. Albertz and Anna Lee Evans also won singles matches for CofC.
The Cougars will return to action on Apr. 1 against Davidson in Davidson, N.C. beginning at 1 p.m . The Spartans will host
