
College of Charleston Men?s Soccer Team set for Non-Conference match at Winthrop

The College of Charleston men's soccer team begins a three-match road trip through the state of South Carolina on Tuesday, Oct. 21st when they take on out-of-conference foe Winthrop at 6 p.m
The Cougars come into the match with an 8-6-0 overall mark, 2-3-0 in the Southern Conference. The team is coming off a hard-fought 2-1 loss to SoCon rival UNC-Greensboro on Saturday night.
In the loss, senior Zach Prince scored his third goal of the season in the first half. Prince was making a return to the Charleston lineup in the match, as he had sat out the teams previous six matches with an injury.
Offensively, the Cougars are led by Kareem Yearwood, who has recorded 11 points (five goals and one assist) on the season. Goalie Clark Hankins has made seven starts in between the pipes for the Cougars. He has made 24 saves on the year and has a 0.97 goals against average.
Winthrop comes into the match with a 10-3 overall mark and is 4-0-0 in the Big South conference. The Eagles come into their match with Charleston off the heels of a shutout victory over Radford on Sunday, 3-0.
Winthrop is led offensively by one of the country's most prolific scorers, Daniel Revivo. Revivo leads the Big South and is in a tie for second in the country in points with 27 (11 goals, five assists). Goalie Patrick Mitrovich has made 55 saves and recorded a goals against average of 0.79 in 12 starts on the year.
Last season, Winthrop took a 2-1, overtime thriller from the Cougars at Patriots Point. Matt Morris scored the lone goal on the day for the Cougars, as Winthrop's Sean Weron scored the game-winner in the extra frame.
