The College of Charleston men's basketball team spent Thursday afternoon visiting kids at the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital. Head Coach Bobby Cremins and the Cougars played games and posed for pictures with the children.
“Every year before Christmas we like to visit the Children's Hospital and MUSC,” said Cremins, whose team plays host to UNC Wilmington at 7 p.m. on Friday. “We want our players to appreciate the healthy life they have, the healthy bodies they have.”
“It's always a good thing to give back to the community, especially with our supporters in the area,” added senior forward Jermaine Johnson, who will graduate on Saturday. “The team always looks forward to our annual visit to the MUSC Children's Hospital. We have to be thankful that we have the opportunity to play basketball and enjoy these things and bring joy to those in the community who are less fortunate.”
The MUSC Children's Hospital is dedicated to enhancing the health of children throughout South Carolina, and to providing an environment that supports excellence in pediatric patient care, teaching and research.
MUSC Children's Hospital has earned top ranking from U.S. News & World Report, American Health Magazine and The Best Doctors in America. Child magazine continues to rank MUSC Children's Hospital as one of the top pediatric facilities in the country.
