
CofC Women's Tennis Tops WCU, 7-0 and Samford, 4-3

Link Leskosky and Anna Lee Evans cruised to wins in singles competition as the College of Charleston women's tennis team opened the Southern Conference portion of its schedule with a 7-0 over Western Carolina at the Patriots Point Tennis Center on Saturday.
Charleston, which improved to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in league play, plays host to Charlotte at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Western Carolina is 0-6 and 0-1.
Leskosky beat Mariona Trilla 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Evans downed Emily Turke 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Chelsea Albertz defeated Tessie Salame 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Laura Borza earned a 6-0, 6-2 win over Trish Hanson at No. 2 singles, Holly Dowse beat Susanna Sjokuist 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Amanda Becker grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Heather Bell at No. 6 singles.
In the nightcap, Charleston rallied for a 4-3 win over Samford winning four of six singles matches.
Chelsea Albertz won at No. 1 singles 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 over Anna Jackson, Holly Dowse beat Taylor Morgan 7-5, 7-6 at No. 2 singles, Amanda Becker earned a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and Keely Mulligan claimed a win at No. 6 singles 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.
